Gift packages start at $99.

The reward is a coupon, not a discount. You do not save anything on the first order. The card only pays off if you place a second order of at least $179 before the end of January 2027, and the release does not say which order totals unlock the $10, $20 or $50 tier. If you are buying one gift and never plan to order again, value it at zero.

Shipping minimums shape the basket. Because free standard shipping kicks in at $149 per address, sending a $99 box to a single relative costs extra unless you add items. Sending to several addresses multiplies that threshold.

The survey is marketing. A 600-person poll paid for by the seller tells you little about whether a meat box is the right present. The better test is simpler: does the recipient cook, have freezer space, and eat beef?

Timing perishables. Choosing a delivery date at no extra cost is the most useful feature here. Pick a date when someone will be home, especially for frozen shipments in warmer states.

• Good fit: families who host holiday dinners, hard-to-shop-for relatives who like steakhouse food, and corporate gift lists that need one dependable vendor.
• Think twice: vegetarian or small households, apartment dwellers with little freezer room, and anyone shopping only on price per pound, where a local butcher may be cheaper.
