The Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro share the same 6.3-inch size, the same Google Tensor G6 chip and the same seven years of updates, yet the Pro costs $200 more at list price on the Google Store. That gap buys a sharper and brighter screen, a much stronger camera system, more memory on upgraded storage tiers, Wi-Fi 7 and ultra-wideband. Whether those matter depends on how you use your phone. This comparison uses only Google's official specification pages and Google Store pricing, checked on November 2, 2026.

Quick verdict

  • Buy the Pixel 11 if you want Google's software, Gemini features, seven years of updates and a capable 5x telephoto camera for the lowest price.
  • Buy the Pixel 11 Pro if photos and video are a priority, you want the brighter LTPO display, or you need 16GB of RAM or 1TB of storage.
  • Consider the Pixel 11 Pro XL if you want the Pro features with a 6.8-inch screen, a bigger battery and faster wired charging.

Price and current offers

On the Google Store, the Pixel 11 lists at $899 and the Pixel 11 Pro at $1,099. Google also shows financing from $5.25 a month for the Pixel 11 and $5.53 a month for the Pixel 11 Pro over 36 months, subject to approval.

Both phones had store promotions on November 2, 2026. Google listed "Save $200 on Pixel 11 (Unlocked)" and "Save up to $350 on Google Pixel 11 Pro or Pro XL (Unlocked)," both ending November 8. Trade-in credit went up to $510 on the Pixel 11 and up to $600 on the Pro models, with the trade-in offer ending December 27, 2026. Promotions change often, so confirm them at checkout. Both phones are rated IP68, use Gorilla Glass Victus 2, charge wirelessly at up to 25W through Pixelsnap (Qi2.2 certified), reach up to 55% in about 30 minutes with a 30W or faster USB-C PPS charger, launched with Android 17 and get seven years of OS, security and Pixel Drop updates.

Display: the Pro is sharper, brighter and more efficient

Both screens measure 6.3 inches, but the Pro's panel has a higher resolution (495 PPI versus 422 PPI) and higher brightness ratings. The bigger practical difference is LTPO: the Pro can drop to 1Hz, while the Pixel 11's range starts at 60Hz. A display that can slow down when the image is static is generally more power-efficient, which helps explain why the Pro is rated for the same 30+ hour battery life with a slightly smaller battery. Google also lists an anti-scratch shield on the Pro's cover glass.

If you mostly read, message and stream, the Pixel 11's display is still a 120Hz OLED with 2000-nit HDR brightness. The Pro is the better choice if you use your phone outdoors a lot or simply want the sharpest screen.

Cameras: the biggest reason to pay more

This is where the two phones separate most clearly. On paper, every rear camera on the Pro is a step up:

  • Main camera: the Pro's 50MP sensor is listed at 1/1.3 inches, compared with 1/1.56 inches on the Pixel 11. A larger sensor gathers more light.
  • Ultrawide: 48MP with autofocus and Macro Focus on the Pro versus 13MP on the Pixel 11. On the Pixel 11, Macro Focus is handled by the wide camera instead.
  • Telephoto: both have a 5x lens, but the Pro's is 48MP with a 1/1.95-inch sensor, while the Pixel 11's is 10.8MP with a 1/3.2-inch sensor. Google rates zoom at up to 120x on the Pro and up to 30x on the Pixel 11.
  • Selfies: 42MP on the Pro versus 10.5MP on the Pixel 11.

Google also lists features only on the Pro: Pro controls, High-Res photos up to 50MP, High-Res Portrait Mode, Instant Night Sight, 8K video at 24 or 30 FPS powered by Video Boost, Night Sight Video and Pro Stable Video. Both phones record 4K at up to 60 FPS on the rear camera and share Google's editing tools such as Magic Eraser, Best Take and Edit with Ask Photos.

If you take a lot of zoomed shots, low-light video or portraits, the Pro's hardware is the clear upgrade. If your photos are mostly daylight snaps for social media, the Pixel 11's triple camera with a 5x telephoto is already unusual at its price.

Performance, memory and storage

Both use the Google Tensor G6 and the Titan M3 security chip, so everyday speed and on-device AI features such as Gemini Nano, Gemini Live, Circle to Search, Live Translate and Call Assist are listed for both. The difference is memory. The Pixel 11 has 12GB of RAM on both its 256GB and 512GB models. The Pro starts with 12GB at 256GB, then moves to 16GB of RAM on its 512GB and 1TB models. If you keep phones for many years, which seven years of updates encourages, extra RAM and a 1TB option can be worth considering.

Battery and charging

Google rates both phones at 30+ hours of battery life. The Pixel 11 has a slightly larger typical capacity (4985mAh versus 4850mAh), and both share the same 30W wired and 25W Pixelsnap wireless charging ratings. Battery is not a reason to choose one over the other. The Pro XL is different: Google lists a 5115mAh typical battery and up to 75% in about 30 minutes with a 45W charger.

Design, connectivity and extras

The two phones are nearly the same size, at about 6 by 2.8 by 0.3 inches, with the Pro 0.3 oz heavier. The Pixel 11 has a satin-finish aluminum frame with a polished glass back. The Pro has a silky matte glass back with a polished frame, and its Obsidian version has a matte frame.

The Pro adds Wi-Fi 7, an ultra-wideband chip for precise location features, Thread networking support and a feature Google calls HiLight, which Google says "helps you stay present without looking at your screen." The Pixel 11 has Wi-Fi 6E. Both have Satellite SOS, Car Crash Detection, stereo speakers, dual eSIM and USB-C 3.2. Both come with a one-year warranty listed on their spec pages. If you plan to pair either phone with a wearable, our Fitbit Edge vs Charge 6 vs Pixel Watch comparison covers Google's current trackers.

What about the Pixel 11 Pro XL?

The Pro XL shares the Pro's cameras, chip, memory options and features. The differences listed by Google are a 6.8-inch, 1344 x 2992 display at 486 PPI, a 5115mAh battery with 45W wired charging, and a weight of 8 oz. On November 2, 2026, the Google Store's Pro and Pro XL promotion covered both models, so check the XL's current price on the store before deciding.

Which should you buy?

  • Pick the Pixel 11 ($899) if you want a long-supported Android phone with Google's AI features, a 120Hz screen and a 5x telephoto, and you would rather keep the $200.
  • Pick the Pixel 11 Pro ($1,099) if you care about low-light photos, zoom, selfies or video, want an LTPO display, or need 16GB of RAM or 1TB of storage.
  • Pick the Pixel 11 Pro XL if you want all of the Pro's features plus a bigger screen and faster charging.

Whichever you choose, check the Google Store's unlocked-phone discounts and trade-in estimate first, since the current offers can be larger than the gap between the two models.
