Govee Pushes Year-Round Permanent Outdoor Lights: YouGov Survey, Four-Model Lineup and Prices

Govee is pitching permanent roofline lights as everyday house lighting rather than a holiday-only purchase. In a November 4, 2026 announcement, the Bellevue, Washington-based smart lighting brand released a YouGov survey on how Americans use outdoor lighting. It also laid out its four-model permanent outdoor light lineup and cited Euromonitor data naming it the No. 1 U.S. brand in the category by 2025 retail sales value.

What the survey found

Govee commissioned the survey, and YouGov ran it online from October 21 to 26, 2026, among 2,498 U.S. adults. According to Govee:

• 58% are interested in outdoor lighting that stays installed year-round and adapts to different occasions.
• 40% want outdoor lighting to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
• 27% find putting up and taking down holiday lights frustrating.
• 21% have skipped decorating for some occasions because of the hassle.
• 23% would decorate more often if it took less effort.

"Outdoor lighting shouldn't be something people enjoy only a few times a year," Govee CEO Eric Wu said in the release.

The four-model lineup and current prices

Govee's release describes its permanent outdoor lights as follows. Prices are as listed on us.govee.com on November 4, 2026:

• Permanent Outdoor Lights Prism: the flagship, with three color zones per light. $859.99 for 200 feet.
• Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 Pro: the design-focused model, with a dual-layer color effect. $639.99 for 200 feet (listed regular price $799.99).
• Permanent Outdoor Lights Pro: Govee's "versatile all-rounder." $599.99 for 200 feet (listed regular price $759.99).
• Permanent Outdoor Lights 2: the entry model. $279.99 for 100 feet, from $179.99 for 50 feet. It is the only one of the four that cannot be cut.

What it means for buyers

The announcement doesn't add a new product or a new price. It is useful context if you are deciding between seasonal string lights and a permanent install this holiday season. Govee's direct store extends its 30-day no-reason return to January 31, 2027 for orders placed from October 1 to December 31, 2026.
