DREO is recalling about 338,800 of its DR-HSH015 ceramic space heaters in the US, plus about 36,300 in Canada, because they can overheat and catch fire. The timing is bad for owners, since many people are switching heaters on for the first time this season, so check the label on the bottom of yours before you use it again.

How to check yours
Turn the heater over. A label on the underside shows the model number and the manufacture date in YYYY/MM form. Your unit is part of the recall only if the model reads DR-HSH015 and the date falls between 2025/04 and 2026/01. Units with a later date are not included. "DREO" also appears on the front of the heater.
What to do
- Stop using it now and unplug it.
- Contact DREO for the free replacement: 833-820-0887 (8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET, Monday to Friday), spaceheater@realtimeresults.net, "Product Recalls" at the top of dreo.com, or recallrtr.com/spaceheater.
- Disable the old heater by cutting its power cord, as DREO's instructions require, then send the requested photo of the destroyed unit.
- Wait for the replacement before discarding anything else DREO asks you to keep, and keep your order or receipt details handy.
