New Era Releases Golden State Valkyries 2026 WNBA Champions Locker Room Cap and T-Shirt

New Era has released its 2026 WNBA Championship Collection for the Golden State Valkyries, who won the franchise's first WNBA title in only their second season. In a November 1 announcement, New Era, the Official Cap of the WNBA, said the collection's 2026 WNBA Champions Locker Room 9FIFTY Pre-Curved cap and the official 2026 WNBA Champions T-shirt are available now at neweracap.com and at select retailers.

What's in the collection

2026 WNBA Champions Locker Room 9FIFTY Pre-Curved, $42.99. This is the cap the Valkyries wore as they lifted the trophy. According to New Era, it is an adjustable snapback with a white crown and black visor. The Valkyries logo sits on the front with "2026 WNBA Champions" embroidered across the crown alongside a stitched WNBA Championship Trophy, and the New Era Flag logo is on the side. New Era's store listing adds that it has a pre-curved visor, a gray undervisor and the WNBA Logowoman above the snapback closure at the back. The press release also describes the WNBA's "THIRTY" wordmark, marking the league's 30th season, on the back. It comes in one size.

2026 Champions T-shirt, $35.99. The matching tee has a screen-printed Valkyries 2026 WNBA Champions graphic on the front. It is 100% cotton and comes in sizes S to 3XL.

Why it matters to fans

The Valkyries joined the WNBA in 2025 as the league's first expansion team since 2008. In that first season they set a league record for the most wins by an expansion team in its inaugural season and made the playoffs. Winning the championship a year later is the "expansion to champion" story New Era's release is built around. As with most championship gear, the locker room cap is the piece fans tend to want first, because it is the one the players wore on the court during the celebration.
