It's a 10 Haircare
Miami haircare brand founded by stylist Carolyn Aronson, known for its Miracle Leave-In spray, plus shampoos, masks and styling products.
What this guide covers
It's a 10 does not sell just one Miracle Leave-In. Its website lists the original plus versions for fine hair, damaged hair, coily hair and blonde hair, a vegan "Clear" formula, a moisture-heavy "Potion" and a fragrance-free option. The brand's site does not accept returns on opened products, and new packaging started rolling out at Ulta Beauty on November 2, 2026, so it pays to know which bottle you need before buying.
This guide compares the main Miracle Leave-In versions using only what It's a 10 publishes on each product page: the target hair type, highlighted ingredients, listed benefits, directions, sizes and prices. It is a research-based comparison; we did not test the products on hair.

If you are not sure: start with the original
The original Miracle Leave-In is the brand's flagship. It's a 10 says it sells more than 11 million bottles a year in the US. Its formula is a lightweight conditioning spray built on behentrimonium chloride and cetearyl alcohol for slip, with sunflower seed extract, green tea leaf extract, silk amino acids, aloe and panthenol as the highlighted extras. The brand lists 10 benefits, including detangling, frizz reduction, shine, thermal protection and help with split ends.
On its product page, it holds a 4.9-out-of-5 average from 1,679 reviews. Our research-based Miracle Leave-In review goes through the ingredient list line by line.
Choose it if: your hair is medium to thick and tangles after washing, and you have no specific concern like fine strands, bleach damage or tight curls.
Fine, flat or short hair: Miracle Leave-In Lite

It's a 10 calls Lite an "ultra-light formula" for "fine or short hair." Its standout ingredient is marshmallow root extract, which the brand says gives "lift, body, volume and lightweight conditioning with absolutely zero build-up or heaviness." Chamomile flower extract is pitched as soothing for hair and scalp, and acai extract for tensile strength and shine.
Its benefit list swaps the original's "detangles" for "weightless detangler," keeping heat protection, color protection, frizz reduction and the rest. The page adds a styling tip: you can mist it on dry hair as "a moisturizing hairspray/setting spray."
Choose it if: the original might weigh your hair down, or you want something to refresh dry hair between washes. It costs the same as the original in every size.
Dry, brittle or damaged hair: Plus Keratin or Potion
These two both target damage, in different ways.
Miracle Leave-In Plus Keratin

Plus Keratin adds keratin amino acids and hydrolyzed keratin. It's a 10 says these help restore moisture to dry, brittle, color-treated or otherwise damaged hair "by infusing it with the same natural proteins that make up hair." Its first listed benefit is "protects the natural keratin in hair," and it also claims to help fortify hair.
It comes with an important warning on the product page: "Fragile hair (including, but not limited to, highly bleached hair) may snap or break with overuse of Keratin based products." It's a 10 is telling you to use this version in moderation if your hair is heavily lightened.
Its styling tip is to use it to smooth flyaways or to coat hair before rollers or twists. It is the priciest of the core three at $24.00 for 4 oz and $47.00 for 10 oz.
Potion Miracle Leave-In
Potion is described as the popular leave-in "enhanced with an extra dose of moisture" for "all-day moisturizing action," and the brand suggests it as a pre-treatment before heat styling. Its highlighted ingredients are panthenol, Indian gooseberry (amla) extract, bamboo extract and rosehip seed oil. Its benefits include "helps seal hair cuticle," "adds softness" and "increased manageability."
How to choose between them: if your hair feels dry and rough, the moisture-focused Potion is the gentler route. If it feels weak or brittle, Plus Keratin is the brand's protein option, used sparingly on bleached hair because of the brand's own warning. Potion has fewer reviews on the brand site (34, averaging 4.9) than Plus Keratin (742, averaging 4.9).
Curls and coils: Coily Miracle Leave-In

The Coily version is the richest formula in the range. Its proprietary blend lists avocado oil, coconut oil, shea butter and monoi extract, plus pea peptide. The brand says it penetrates hair "with deep moisturizers to soften and seal strands" while giving "weightless styling control that takes the place of gels or hairsprays."
Its directions also differ from the others. Instead of mid-shaft to ends on towel-dried hair, you apply to damp or dry hair from roots to ends to detangle, then twist, braid or wrap. You can also mist it on dry hair as a refresher. Benefits include enhancing and defining curls, taming flyaways, "instant detangling" and reducing breakage.
Choose it if: you have curly, coily or kinky hair, wear braids, or find lightweight sprays don't do enough. It is $26.00 for 4 oz, $45.00 for 10 oz and $18.00 for 2 oz, with a 4.6 average from 89 reviews on the brand site.
Blonde and highlighted hair: Miracle Leave-In for Blondes

This version has a violet color that the brand says "tones brassiness and enhances highlights and shine," for natural and color-treated blondes. Its highlighted ingredients include hydrolyzed silk, acai berry extract and lavender oil, which the brand links to scalp health. "Tones hair color" leads its benefit list, and it is "designed for all blonds."
Choose it if: you are blonde or highlighted and want a little toning between purple-shampoo washes. It costs $22.00 for 4 oz, and its 2 oz size is the cheapest in the range at $13.00. It averages 4.8 from 226 reviews on the brand site.
Vegan and color-safe: Clear Miracle Leave-In
It's a 10 calls Clear "a powerful Vegan formula" with sugar beet extract, aloe vera, ashwagandha, amla extract, reishi mushroom and biotin. It is listed as color-safe and lightweight for everyday use, with benefits including thermal protection, reduced breakage and detangling.
Choose it if: a vegan formula matters to you. Note that it has the fewest reviews on the brand site of any version here (18, averaging 4.6), so there is less customer feedback to go on.
Fragrance-sensitive: Miracle Leave-In Fragrance Free
The original Miracle Leave-In lists fragrance plus several fragrance components, such as limonene and linalool. The Fragrance Free version promises "all the benefits" of the original without fragrance, at the same $22.00 for 4 oz. It is sold only in the 4 oz size on the brand site.
Choose it if: scented products bother your skin or scalp, or you layer other scented products.
How to use any of them
For every version except Coily, the directions are the same:
- Wash and towel-dry your hair.
- Spray evenly from mid-shaft to ends. Don't start at the roots.
- Do not rinse.
- Comb through and style as usual.
For Coily, apply from roots to ends on damp or dry hair and then twist, braid or wrap. With any leave-in, start with fewer sprays. Customer reviews show the most common complaint is hair that feels coated or stiff, which usually comes from using too much.
Buying tips
- Try the 2 oz size first. The brand site treats all sales as final, apart from damaged, defective or wrong items reported within 48 hours.
- Buy the 10 oz once you are sure. For the original, the 10 oz is $4.20 per ounce, against $5.50 for the 4 oz.
- Match by name, not color. It's a 10 has repackaged more than 80 products in 2026, and product pages say "packaging may vary."
- The new look is at Ulta first. The refreshed packaging launched exclusively at Ulta Beauty and Ulta.com on November 2, 2026.
