Böhme Shopping Guide: Shipping, Returns, Wardrobe Rewards and Sizing

Böhme is a women's boutique from Utah that sells online at bohme.com and runs stores across the western United States. Most of what it sells is dresses, denim, sweaters, tops and shoes, priced from about $50 to just over $100. Its own labels sit next to a mix of outside brands. This guide covers what to know before you check out: shipping speed and cost, how returns and exchanges work, which items can't be returned, how Wardrobe Rewards works, and the sizing details that cause the most returns. Every policy below comes from Böhme's own shipping, returns, rewards and sizing pages as they read in early November 2026. Policies change, so check the live page before a large order.

Who Böhme is

Sisters Vivien and Fernanda Böhme founded the company in 2006, at 23 and 24. They were born in Rio de Janeiro and moved to the United States as children. The brand began as a single boutique and now runs stores in several western states. Its headquarters and warehouse are in Draper, Utah. In December 2024 Unified Commerce Group bought a majority stake. UCG co-founder Dustin Jones became CEO and Vivien Böhme stayed on as president.

That background affects how you shop. Böhme says it makes its own private-label pieces in the USA and abroad, and also sells other brands. So two dresses tagged "M" can fit quite differently, which is why the sizing section of this guide matters.

Shipping: cost and timing

The banner across bohme.com advertises free shipping on orders of $100 or more. Below that, shipping is charged at checkout.

Timing has two parts:

• Processing: Böhme aims to process orders within 2–5 business days. The Draper warehouse is closed on weekends, so a Friday order is not processed until the following week. Orders placed on a holiday are processed within 1–7 business days after it.
• Transit: domestic orders go out through OSM Worldwide, and USPS handles final delivery. Böhme says most packages arrive within 2–9 business days after they leave the warehouse. APO/FPO/DPO addresses use the same service.

Add those together and a standard order can take about one to two weeks from checkout to your door. If you need something for a date, choose the expedited option. Böhme ships expedited orders by UPS, and orders placed before 12pm Mountain Time are processed the same day.

Böhme is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged packages. Instead it offers optional package protection at checkout, run by Corso, which also buys carbon offsets for the shipment. Claims go through Corso, not Böhme's own team, so decide at checkout whether the cover is worth it.

International orders ship through ePost Global and usually arrive within 10–15 business days of leaving the warehouse. Duties and taxes are paid by the customer.

Preorders are charged at checkout, not when they ship, and Böhme says they can take up to eight weeks. You can cancel a preorder by emailing webteam@bohme.com before its estimated ship date. A preorder can be returned within 21 days of shipping. If you order a preorder and an in-stock item together, they ship separately, but you pay one shipping fee.

Returns and exchanges: the 21-day window

Böhme accepts returns of unworn, unwashed, unaltered items with the original tags within 21 days of the fulfillment date. The clock starts when the order is fulfilled, not when it arrives. With up to nine business days in transit, you may have only around two weeks once the parcel reaches you, so try things on soon.

Final sale items. These can't be returned or exchanged:

• clearance items and anything marked "Final Sale";
• all jewelry and accessories;
• bodysuits and intimates.

What a refund costs. You can get a refund to the original payment method, store credit, or an exchange.

• Refunds: a $8.99 return-shipping fee is taken from domestic refunds when you use Böhme's label.
• No fee: the $8.99 is waived for store credit (issued as a Böhme Gift Card, sometimes with bonus credit), for in-store returns, and for Happy Returns drop-offs on orders that qualify.
• Shipping charges and package protection are never refunded.

Exchanges. There are two options. An Instant Exchange ships the new item right away and puts a $1 hold on your card. If the original item isn't received within 14 days, you're charged the full price of the exchange. A Standard Exchange waits until your return is in transit. If the size you want is out of stock, the exchange becomes a refund.

Processing times. Böhme processes refunds and store credit within 15 business days of receiving the return. Your bank may then take up to 10 more business days to post it. That can add up to about five weeks from posting the parcel to seeing the money.

Condition checks. Returns with makeup or deodorant marks, perfume or other smells, pet hair or other signs of wear won't be refunded. If Böhme rejects a return, it can ship the item back for $7.99. Shoes must go back unworn in their original shoebox, packed inside a shipping box. A damaged shoebox or missing tags can bring a fee of up to 20%. Böhme also suggests trying shoes on indoors on carpet.

Defects. Report damaged or defective items within 48 hours of delivery and include a photo. Böhme says later reports may not qualify.

Social and international orders. Orders placed through TikTok Shop, Facebook or Instagram are returned through those apps, not bohme.com. International orders can be returned for a refund only, within 21 days of delivery. The customer pays return shipping, and duties aren't refunded.

Lost returns. Keep your USPS receipt until the return is processed. If a return package is lost and you can show proof of shipment, Böhme may issue store credit. Without proof, it won't refund.

Paying at Böhme

The checkout runs on Shopify. Product pages show Shop Pay and Google Pay, and Shop Pay offers installment plans on orders from about $35. Böhme Gift Cards work online and in stores, and store credit is issued as a gift card. If you pay partly with a gift card and partly with a card, refunds go back to the gift card first.

Wardrobe Rewards

Böhme's loyalty program is called Wardrobe Rewards and is free to join.

• Joining: you get 25 points for creating an account.
• Earning: you earn points on orders and for completing set achievements, and higher tiers add extra perks.
• Using points: you trade them for rewards, which you enter at checkout.

Three rules are worth knowing. Rewards expire after a year. They have no cash value. And returning an order takes back the points it earned. Points come back only if the order is cancelled before it ships.

Sizing: read the product page, not just the size chart

Böhme's sizing chart says it outright: the store carries many brands and "sizes may vary item to item." The general chart maps dresses and tops from XS (00–0) to XL (14–16). Jeans use waist sizes, mostly 23 or 24 to 32. The chart also explains how each measurement is taken. Bust is the fullest part with arms at your sides. Waist is your natural waist, above the belly button. Length runs from the top of the shoulder to the hem. Rise runs from crotch to waistline, and inseam from crotch to cuff.

The useful information is on each product page. Many listings give the model's height and size, and some add a fit note. The Ellianna Floral Maxi Dress page, for example, says it "runs small" and recommends sizing up. The Marshall Straight Leg Jeans are described as a relaxed, slightly baggier fit, with a suggestion to size down for a closer fit. A checklist before you check out

1. Check fit notes and measurements on every product page, especially when buying the same size across different labels.
2. Look for "Final Sale" in the listing. Jewelry, accessories, bodysuits and intimates are always final sale, even at full price.
3. Plan around the 21-day window. It starts at fulfillment. If you might return something, consider store credit to avoid the $8.99 fee.
4. Choose expedited shipping before noon Mountain Time if you need an outfit for a set date. Standard delivery can take up to two weeks.
5. Buy from bohme.com or a Böhme store. Some negative reviews online describe sites or sellers that don't match Böhme's Utah warehouse. See our research-based Böhme review.
